1990's

The 1990s saw a rise in the awareness of multiculturalism and the expansion of "alternative" media  aided by new technology such as cable television and the World Wide Web. It marked the end of the Cold War,  and The Troubles  in Northern Ireland came to a standstill in 1998 with the Good Friday Agreement.
